Spinnerei 1 (Bühler-Areal, Sennhof)
Sennhof (Illnau-Effretikon), Zurich
The project
In the former spinning mill of the Bühler site in Sennhof, 89 new apartments and 4 commercial spaces are being created, from houses with gardens to maisonettes with rooftop terraces. The 1.5- to 4.5-room apartments combine the charm of historic buildings with a Minergie standard, with ceiling heights of about three metres. The site is close to Sennhof-Kyburg station, 12 minutes from Winterthur and around 36 minutes from Zürich HB.
