Gartenstadt im Bergacker
Zürich-Affoltern, Zurich
The project
The Gartenstadt Bergacker project provides for the construction of six new linear buildings (Zeilenbauten) comprising around 270 dwellings of 1.5 to 5.5 rooms on the Swiss Life site in Zurich-Affoltern, implemented in two stages. The project follows a sustainability approach (SNBS Gold label, geothermal heat pumps, photovoltaic panels, green roofs) and preserves the 'garden city' spirit of the existing site. Current tenants receive support and priority for relocation into the new dwellings.
